    Warm Wednesdays Cost of Living Help and Advice

    You can drop into GL11 every Wednesday from 10am to 5pm for free Cost of Living help and advice.

    Our Café serves hot meals and drinks all day for just £1 (last food served at 4.30pm), and our Community Pantry is open too.

    You can get free help with money, debt and benefits advice, housing advice, job club and digital help (with free wi-fi available!).

    There is also health and wellbeing support, and even a free creche 12.30 to 2.30pm.

    Plus there is always nice chat and good company.

    You can get free money advice at GL11 every Wednesday, between 9.30am and 2pm.

    If you have money worries, GL11 can offer you independent, confidential money advice about debts, arrears, benefit claims and managing your budget.

    We are here to offer help and support without judgement as part of our #WarmGL11 cost of living support Wednesdays.

    No booking required, just drop in and meet with Sandra for free, independent advice and help with your money worries!

    Housing Advice

    You can get free help and advice with housing experts P3 at GL11, every Wednesday, 9am to 1pm.

    Get help with finding somewhere to live or with maintaining existing accommodation.

    No booking needed, just drop in.

    But please be advised that Wednesday housing advice slots can get very busy, and a wait, or call back next week, may be required.

    Help with Digital Skills

    Need some help getting to grips with the online world? Whether you need help from switching it on, to online shopping or becoming more confident on your your tablet.

    Our free ‘Digital Drop In’ runs every Wednesday 10am- 3pm as part of our Cost of Living Support day.

    It is led by your needs. For example, we can help you with things like accessing the NHS app, BBC iPlayer, help with online banking, or learning how to a video call friends and family - there will be no stopping you afterwards!

    Part of the Digital Hubs Project tackling digital exclusion across Gloucestershire.

    Community Food Pantry

    Our Community Food Pantry is open to anyone who needs a helping hand to buy food. You pay £4 per visit to get around £15-20 worth of shopping from our pantry.

    The Community Pantry is open Wednesdays, 10am-1pm & 2pm-4.30pm, and on Fridays, 10am-12pm. Pantry slots need to be pre-booked on the day.

    Free Creche Sessions at GL11

    We currently have free creche sessions at GL11 on Monday (1pm to 2.45pm) and Wednesday (12.30pm to 2.30pm) afternoons, for 0-4 years.

    If you are a parent with baby or toddler, needing our Wednesday expert advice on your finances, housing concerns, etc. Or just need to visit our Community Pantry to do a low-cost weekly shop. Why not take advantage of our free creche to get the support you need while children are safely at play with our fully trained families team, Kath, Kim and Lindsay.

    On Mondays, you can find out more about all of GL11’s activities, and just take some time out for yourself in our Cafe with a hot drink and some cake.

    We also occasionally run one-off creche sessions to help parents participate in activities at GL11. Check out our Activities & Courses section for any specific details.

    There is a limit to creche numbers on any one day, so best to ring GL11 first on 01453 548530 just to double check on availability.

  • Cooks in the GL11 Community Cafe kitchen

    GL11 Community Cafe

    Our Community Cafe is open for home cooked food Monday to Friday. Sharon and her team of volunteers serve up hot drinks, cakes and lunches.

    As part of our weekly Warm Wednesdays, the cafe serves £1 hot food all day between 10am and 4.30pm.

    On Thursdays, pre-booking is required for our £5 two course community lunch for the over 55’s. Call us on 01453 548530 to book yourself a space at our community lunch table.

  • Feed Yourself Well

    Feed Yourself Well

    Get inspired to feed yourself (and your family) well with GL11 Community Pantry and Kerry Ingredients UK.

    Pick up a bag with the recipe and all the ingredients you need to make a delicious family meal for four from scratch. Pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step instructions means less food waste.

    A different recipe will be available through the Community Pantry every month.
