GL11 Food Bank
GL11 is a Stroud District Foodbank venue. Our food bank is open to anyone who needs it, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm to 4.30pm.
The Food Bank is available through a voucher referral system, so if you need help, give us a call and we can help you access the support you need.

Community Food Pantry
Our Community Food Pantry is open to anyone who needs a helping hand to buy food. You pay £4 per visit to get around £15-20 worth of shopping from our pantry.
The Community Pantry is open Wednesdays, 10am-1pm & 2pm-4.30pm, and on Fridays, 10am-12pm. Pantry slots need to be pre-booked on the day.

Warm Wednesdays Cost of Living Help and Advice
You can drop into GL11 every Wednesday from 10am to 5pm for free Cost of Living help and advice.
Our Café serves hot meals and drinks all day for just £1 (last food served at 4.30pm), and our Community Pantry is open too.
You can get free help with money, debt and benefits advice, housing advice, job club and digital help (with free wi-fi available!).
There is also health and wellbeing support, and even a free creche 12.30 to 2.30pm.
Plus there is always nice chat and good company.

Care & Repair
Care & Repair is a trusted handy person service for residents over 65, or any adult living with a disability, run by GL11. Our aim is to provide the help you need, to get small jobs done in your home and garden, to help you maintain your independence for longer.
The type of things we can help you with are general DIY, such as replacing a light bulb, installing a safety rail, furniture moves, fitting a key safe or letterbox cage, etc.
All it takes is a phone call to us on 01453 548530, followed by a home visit, to assess what help is needed. The home assessment is free and there is no obligation. Our team are all DBS checked.

Hearing Aid Clinics
Problems with your hearing aid? Need to see an expert?
A Hearing Aid Clinic is held at GL11 every three months.

Health Visitor Dates at GL11 and Sharpness
We have a monthly Health Visitor session at both our weekly Family Friday sessions at GL11, and at our weekly Sharpness Parent & Toddler group in Sharpness Village Hall.
No need to book. If you need to see a Health Visitor, just drop in and see us on one of these dates.

Chiropody for the Over 55s
GL11 hosts a chiropody service for over 55s every Thursday, with appointments available between 9:15am and 2:00pm. Regular GL11 attendees pay £7.50 for a session, for those only using the chiropody service the charge is £15 per session (£30 from January 2025).

Job Club at GL11

GL11’s Job Club runs every Wednesday, 1pm-3pm, as part of our weekly cost of living advice and support day. Everyone is welcome, just drop in!

Pick up a bag with the recipe and all the ingredients you need to make a delicious family meal for four from scratch. Pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step instructions means less food waste.
