Could we all benefit from a summer shutdown?
This month’s column for the Gloucestershire Gazette is written by Indigo, our CEO, and explores the reasons why we have a two-week summer shutdown. What started as a purely practical measure actually has wider wellbeing benefits for our team of employees. As people around the world find it increasingly difficult to switch off from work, a organisation-wide closure means our staff can have good quality time off. Research shows that such closures are really beneficial; they can prevent burnout and even extend your life!
So maybe we could all benefit from having a summer shutdown in our place of work?
