Tony is “odd job” hero

It’s little things that can make a huge difference to helping people maintain their independence, living in their own home for longer.
— Tony Carpenter, Volunteer Co-ordinator at GL11 Community Hub

This month in the Gloucestershire Gazette, we’re highlighting the role of our Care and Repair service, led by Volunteer Co-ordinator Tony Carpenter. Care and Repair is a trusted handy person service for local residents aged over 65, or any disabled adult. We can do anything from general DIY, such as replacing a light bulb or moving furniture, to installing a safety rail or fitting a key safe to enable home care for someone coming out of hospital.

All it takes is a phone call to us on 01453 548530, followed by a home visit, to assess what help is needed and provide a quote for any materials and the time involved. The home assessment is free and there is no obligation. Our team are all DBS checked.

Through Care and Repair, we hope we can help you to maintain your independence in your own home for longer.
