Meet and Greeter
We are looking for a warm, welcoming person to greet people when they first come through the door. It might be that you could signpost people to the services that would help them or to assist with completing forms and providing gentle support to those who require it.
Expectation
Wednesdays, 9:30am-12:30pm

Patient and friendly
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Good attention to detail
Good IT skills
Comfortable using the phone
Organised with good timekeeping
Excellent administrative skills
Reliable, professional and discreet
Experience of working in a team and lone working
Volunteers must be willing to work within guidelines and always follow confidentiality policies
Tasks and activities
Being “the face” of GL11 to meet and greet people when they first enter the building
Providing a warm, friendly atmosphere where people feel secure
Assisting with form filling
Make referrals to other services, both internal and external, that may be able to support the person you are helping
Ascertaining the situation and signposting when appropriate
Liaising with Volunteer Manager on priorities
Other tasks as agreed with the Volunteer Manager
